RTB's bass player Carsten Kettering did an interview with Metalzone.gr not long ago in which he discusses the album "New Metal Leader" and how the band which began as a cover band for a one-time event turned into so much more than that.
"We wanted something like a mix of real traditional metal sound with influences of a modern sound. We are really happy with our CD, the sound and the power of the album." - Carsten Kettering

Ross The Boss will be kicking off the new year by celebrating his birthday (January 3rd) in France, where he will play The Paris France Metal Festival III with his French band from the late 70's; Shakin' Street.

The New Metal Leader Tour has begun! Last Thursday the band played the first warm-up show in support of the new album.
Ross said, "Basically we kicked ass!!! To me it was the climax of a long wait in my life. Finally with the right band, the right songs, the right label, the right time! Because it's right now!"
"The whole night was great. We got a very great feedback and the club was packed full of Metalheads. They screamed every song with us, they knew the words already and we had a big party with all of them."
"Because of my band Patrick, Matze and Carsten we played that show in their hometown Kaiserslautern. We're seeing all of our old friends and we are making many new ones."

Ross and the boys are happy to announce confirmed European tour dates in support of "New Metal Leader" for this November. They can't wait to get on the road and play these songs in front of a live audience.

He is a legend of metal, the co-founder of Manowar, main songwriter on the early albums and guitarist: ROSS THE BOSS! Ross left Manowar after the “Kings Of Metal” opus, while Manowar continued to record albums and tour the world. Nonetheless the name ROSS THE BOSS is cemented in the heads of every true metal warrior, thanks to his main influence on the timeless classics he has written.
2008: the sensation is here: ROSS THE BOSS is back! With a new band (consisting of member of the German metallers IVORY NIGHT, Patrick Fuchs and Carsten Kettering) and the GERMAN HAMMER, Matthias Mayer (Drums), and new songs in the vein of the all time-classics he recorded with Manowar over 20 years ago!
Ross points out at any time that even though the band is named after him, it is a real band with each member having his share of the whole. Singer Patrick Fuchs is one of the biggest vocals talents the European metal scene has to offer and with his mate of IVORY NIGHT (bass player Carsten Kettering) and drummer Matthias Mayer(former drummer of DIVINUS). For a headlining performance at the “Keep It True” festival they teamed up with their legendary idol, ROSS THE BOSS. Instantly magic was in the air. Both Ross and IVORY NIGHT felt that the chemistry was great, so they thought about a collaboration. After touring together extensively now the first studio record of this new band is ready to see the light of day: “New Metal Leader”.
