The Spinatras 1999
In 1999 Ross and drummer Richie Fazio, who had played in bands together for years, hooked up with bass player Ron Giordano and vocalist Brian Corley.

The Spinatras held a philosophy that music should be fun. They played upbeat music with fun lyrics to people who were sick of all the depressing grunge music which had been so popular through most of the 90's.

(Brian Corley) is my protegé actually. He is a really young guy, he's 24 years old. He really has a great knowledge of rhythm and blues, and music. But he is on the modern tip of rock n roll. The cutting edge, or so they say!" -- Ross The Boss (1999)
The Spinatras
The band was energized by the possibility of things to come with this talented line-up and was soon signed to CMC International for a fun album of rock songs with a punk edge about nothing in particular.

The Spinatras album '@Midnight.com' received much critical acclaim for their short and catchy songs led by Ross The Boss' unmistakable guitar playing. They have the honor of being the first band to record an album with an @ symbol in the title.

'Ross The Boss' is one of the tastiest fret-meisters strutting this mortal coil, and "strut" is no idle adjective. ...With The Spinatras, he returns to basics -- fun and rock and roll." -- Bill Holmes, Pop Matters
The Spinatras
Soon after the release of '@Midnight.com', Ross began work on "DFFD", The Dictators first studio album in over 20 years. The Spinatras sort of fell by the wayside, but Ross continues to play with Richie and Brian to this day.

It's hard to say for sure, but this band may have been way ahead of it's time. In the late 2000's this pop-punk sound dominates the rock charts.
