...Heyday was like, my thing into blues rock. ...Every band I have been has had a distinct style change." -- Ross The Boss
Ross was always involved in more than one project at a time. As a long time blues fan, he was already playing in blues rock band, "The Pack" with long time friend and drummer Richie Fazio when it became clear that his time with Manowar was up in 1988.
When I started playing guitar, it didn't matter what type of Rock 'n Roll you played, it was all just called ROCK!" - Ross the Boss (from the liner notes of the Heyday album)
Ross and Richie always played in various incarnations of this band. In the 90's, they changed the name to "Heyday" and changed band members a few times. At one point Heyday included Jack Daly, who would go on to become Lenny Kravitz' bass player.
In 1991 Ross' son was born, and his priorities shifted more towards being a father. But even so, he is a musician at heart. He continued to play Dictators shows in the 90's, and Heyday released a self-titled album in 1994.
By 1999 they were The Spinatras.
